aha. So I didn't get into any of the studios that I wanted to. Awesome! And by awesome I mean not awesome.

I'm done with drawing! I survived Lenny Long! And he said I did good. It's a miracle.

I chatted with my old roommate's current roommate today while we were celebrating, and apparently she drives her up the wall too. Guess it wasn't just me. So I feel a little less guilty about the way I felt about her last year. She's a nice girl as long as you don't have to live with her.

Now to write a paper, and illustrate stuff, and paint,

Lovecraft apparently did not approve of my apartment. - "The Colonial Apartments, 175-185 Benefit St., about which Lovecraft bemoaned the fact that this "wretched ultra-modern apartment-house with all urban sophistications" replaced the "bit of actual country remaining" on College Hill in the 1920s"

It's hardly 'ultra-modern' now, of course. Though it is still wretched.

Trying to figure out my schedule for next semester is making my brain hurt. This was easier when all my studios were preassigned.

Plus the only two classes I'm positive I want to take are at the same time. Of course. Hopefully I can at least get into one or the other. (comics and artist's book)
also considering printmaking for illustrators, pen/ink/scratchboard, colorworks, maybe a digital illustration class...idk.

I also need to take one of those 'concepts' classes at some point...

and then I need to figure out liberal arts too. bugh. at least I have until saturday at 11....unlike the rising seniors, who only have until tuesday.

I got a srs-business blog! It's here. Reasons why explained in the first post.

I seem to have reached the point in my life (career?) where I need to start marketing myself as an artist, and making myself available to the world. Mostly, I need to set up a website, or at least a blog, for my artwork. The website, I think, is a project for another time, but at least I'll be able to say, "Oh yeah, go here to see some of my work."

The original intention for this blog is to post something, big or small, every day, (a la Thing-A-Day) I'm not making any promises, but I will try to keep up. On days I fall behind, I may post older stuff to give it a home on the internet.

Hopefully this will increase productivity of neat things, but I'm not holding my breath. Here's hoping!

(eta - also, I realize I never really announced that I'm also on Twitter. I needed more distractions in my life, since I've fallen off the facebook wagon, and damn if I don't find it amusing. If for some reason you're ever curious about what I'm thinking, feel free to look. I do not guarantee that it will be at all worth the trouble, though.)

There's a sequel to American McGee's Alice in the works for xbox and ps3. Never got to play the original, but it's pretty well considered, and the promo art looks pretty sweet.
